My mom used to make these meatballs as appetizer. We also ate them as evening snacks. My mom deep fried the meatballs, and I use to pan fry them. But now I make them in the air fryer. I sometimes add these meatballs to my salad. This recipe is very mild, which makes it great for kids! If you want it spicier then you can increase the ground Serrano by 1/2 tsp and gharam masala by 1/2 tsp. You can also add finely chopped serrano peppers to it. You can also substitute cayenne pepper for serrano.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 Cup chopped medium size yellow onion
- 1/4 cup millet flour ( Bajra flour)
- 1/4 cup coarsely ground coriander seeds
- 2-3 tbsp oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp garlic ginger paste
- 1 tsp ground Serrano peppers
- 1 tsp gharam masala seasoning
- 1 lemon
Recipe:
Mix all the above ingredients together. Let the mix stay in the fridge for at least a couple of hours. Keeping the mix overnight is even better.

Make small balls. Spray or dab the air fryer with some oil. Place the meatballs in the air fryer. Cook on 360 for 8-10 minutes. Once done squeeze some lemon juice. Enjoy with tamarind chutney or with cilantro lime sauce from Costco or just have it plain!!
