Chicken Boti Entrée / Appetizer ( Low Carb)

Just like sheekh kebab, chicken boti (also called tandoori chicken boti) is a very popular Pakistani dish. It can be had as an entree with nan ( bread made in a tandoor) accompanied by tamarind chantey and yogurt sauce ( raita). You can also make a boti roll with paratha or nan. In the roll, you can put boti, chutney, and raita with onions on the nan or paratha and it tastes amazing. It is much easier to make boti in the air fryer as I don’t like the hassle of barbecuing. Simply marinate the chicken cubes overnight with all the seasonings and thread them in skewers along with bell peppers and onions. And cook in the air fryer for 10 minutes. I love my BCP air fryer. It is very easy to use!

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breast cut into small cubes
  • 1 medium onion cut into cubes
  • 1 whole bell peppers cut into cubes
  • 4 tbsp yogurt
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp Shan chicken tikka masala
  • 2 tsp Shan Tandoori masala
  • 2 tbsp garlic/ ginger paste

Recipe

Marinate the cubbed chicken with all the ingredients except the bell peppers and onions and refrigerate overnight in a airtight container.

Warm up the air fryer at 360 degrees for three minutes. Thread the veg and chicken in skewers and let it cook for ten minutes. The boti comes out very tender and delicious. Enjoy with tamarind chutney, raita and onions with nan. Or, eat it with salad like I do to make it a low carb yummy meal!
